Milk labeling bill vetoed - Victory!

The True Food Network just send me a notice that Kansas HB2121 was vetoed by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius (who just so happens to be President Obama's pick for Secretary of Health & Human Services).

I took the time to email the governor and request that she veto this bill that would have changed labeling requirement for milk and dairy products not produced with recombinant bovine growth hormone(rbGH or rbST), a genetically engineered, artificial hormone that induces cows to produce more milk. I am thrilled that the public outcry was heard and listened to! Don't ever think you can't make a difference :-).
